I am a full-time student at UT, passionately working on my Horticulture Undergrad with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations. After my final semester in Fall of 2022 I will be enthusiastically pursuing a Masters Degree of Landscape Architecture. I consider myself a well-rounded, self-motivated person, and have over 10 years’ experience in the professional realm of the service industry. I am always looking to add more specific horticulture knowledge and practice to my professional career. I am constantly expanding my horizons and am always willing and happy to learn. My ability to problem solve, and my genuinely positive outlook are what drives me in my passion to pursue horticulture in all my endeavors.

Zoo Knoxville

Spring 2023

As an Intern at the Knoxville Zoo I will be overseeing the care of the horticultural displays already in place at the zoo. I will also be able to learn alongside the zoo's main horticultural architect while helping to build displays and input my creative eye for design in the landscape.

2018 – Present

As a merchandiser and plant sales floor designer at Plant Partners, I am responsible for keeping the floral department, clean, organized and upkept for the customers to shop. I merchandise floral displays and work quickly to ensure the product is displayed so that it can be readily sold. I work independently and on my own schedule, so I am self-motivated and productive. I work with integrity to protect the delicate nature of the plant material.

Whole Foods Market

2012 – Present

With Whole Foods Market, I have held many positions in 10 years. I am well versed in purchasing and merchandising and have been fortunate to experience everything within the company from housekeeping to management.

As an in store Prime Shopper, it is my responsibility to shop for online orders and fulfill them as quickly and accurately as possible. I am accountable for ensuring the orders are picked and packed within the reasonable timeframe provided. I assist customers whenever necessary and help other teams stock with any free time.

The duties of the Cash Officer included counting all tills daily and ensuring the incoming accounts matched the projected amount and the house safe balanced. I handled all the cash deposits to be picked up by the armored car service. I ensured all clean and dirty tills were tracked and held cashiers responsible for daily cash flow.

As a Prepared Foods Team Leader, I had the responsibility of managing a large team. Including scheduling for the department, budget management and product purchasing. I practiced team building and leading by example.
